Poor water quality can cause health problems for all hospital residents, both people with low immunity and healthy people. Clean water quality standards have been set in the Minister of Health RI no. 32 of 2017. The purpose of this study is to analyze efforts to improve the quality of clean water in public hospitals. This type of research is a literature study. The variables studied were the chemical quality of the Mn and Fe parameters, the biological quality of the total coliform parameters and the efforts to clean water. Clean water sanitation efforts in controlling Fe, Mn and microbiological parameters that can be applied to hospitals are adding chlorine to each ground tank, routine inspection of clean water microbiological parameters once a month at each sampling point that is prone to microbiological contamination in clean water. . Another effort that can be carried out is routine cleaning of each hospital reservoir in order to minimize microbiological contamination.
Nada Fauziyah, Pratiwi Hermiyanti, Fitri Rokhmalia Copyright (c) 2022 Jurnal Hygiene Sanitasi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://hisan.poltekkesdepkes-sby.ac.id/index.php/hisan/article/view/20 Tue, 31 May 2022 00:00:00 +0700 DAMPAK SOSIAL EKONOMI DAN LINGKUNGAN TERHADAP KEBIASAAN MASYARAKAT MELAKUKAN BUANG AIR BESAR https://hisan.poltekkesdepkes-sby.ac.id/index.php/hisan/article/view/17
The results of reports from the Ponorogo health office for people who still defecate openly as much as 73.09%. From these data, after the initial survey, there were some people who did not have a latrine and some had a habit of throwing their feces in the river. If this situation continues, it is likely that problems will arise in the community.

This study aims to assess the factors that influence open defecation (economic and environmental conditions) in Pulosari Village, Jambon District, Ponorogo Regency.

This type of research uses descriptive research with a survey approach. The data collection technique used proportional random sampling technique. Data was collected by means of interviews, observation and documentation with a questionnaire guide. The number of samples is 87 heads of families. The variables assessed were bowel habits, economic and environmental conditions. The data processing method uses descriptive data analysis presented in the form of tables and narratives.

The results showed that the value of defecation habits in general was in the bad category (69.65%), the economic condition of the respondents in general was in the poor category (19.25%) and the environment here, namely the distance from the house to the river in general, was in the category bad (50%).

The conclusion of the factors that influence the habit of open defecation in Pulosari Village, Jambon District, Ponorogo Regency, are the habits of the people themselves who defecate indiscriminately, the economic level of the community is lacking and the presence of rivers close to their homes.
Frida Hendrarinata, Ushnida Rohmah, Sunaryo ., Beny Suyanto Copyright (c) 2022 Jurnal Hygiene Sanitasi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://hisan.poltekkesdepkes-sby.ac.id/index.php/hisan/article/view/17 Tue, 31 May 2022 00:00:00 +0700 FAKTOR DETERMINAN KASUS Open Defecation Free (ODF) DI DESA DINGIL KECAMATAN JATIROGO KABUPATEN TUBAN TAHUN 2020 https://hisan.poltekkesdepkes-sby.ac.id/index.php/hisan/article/view/3
A family latrine is a building that is used to dispose of human feces or najis for a family which is commonly called a latrine or WC. For houses that do not have latrines, it is certain that they will use rice fields, rivers, gardens, ponds, or other places to defecate. Dingil Village in Jatirogo District has 1,011 houses with the highest number of Open Defecation (OD) namely 199 houses (20%) still open defecation, 812 houses have access to healthy latrines. The purpose of this study was to determine the determinant factors associated with the high number of OD in Dingil Village, Jatirogo District, Tuban Regency.

This study uses an analytical method with a case control approach. Data was collected by interview and observation using a questionnaire sheet and instruments. The population in this study was 199 houses consisting of 66 people defecating (case group) and 66 people defecating in the toilet (as control). The data obtained were then analyzed using the Odds Ratio.

The results showed that the aspects of knowledge, attitude and availability of good clean water turned out to be more than 65% of the community still defecating in any place, except for the type of good latrine, only 18.2% were open defecation. Knowledge, attitude and availability of clean water are not determinants of the high number of OD, except the type of latrine is a determinant factor of the high number of OD.

It is recommended that the community no longer use rice fields, rivers, swamps for open defecation, share with family members whose houses are close together and apply a clean and healthy lifestyle to create an environment free of dirt/feces.
Uswatun Hasanah, Winarko ., Hadi Suryono Copyright (c) 2022 Jurnal Hygiene Sanitasi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://hisan.poltekkesdepkes-sby.ac.id/index.php/hisan/article/view/3 Tue, 31 May 2022 00:00:00 +0700 ECOBRICK SEBAGAI SOLUSI DALAM MENGURANGI TIMBULAN SAMPAH PLASTIK DI KELURAHAN KEPOLOREJO KECAMATAN MAGETAN KABUPATEN MAGETAN https://hisan.poltekkesdepkes-sby.ac.id/index.php/hisan/article/view/19
Waste management in Magetan Regency still uses a conventional system. Meanwhile, the amount of generated waste transported to the landfill will continue to increase along with the population growth and cause the landfill land to decrease. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential ecobricks as a solution in reducing the generation of plastic waste in Kepolorejo Urban Village, Magetan Sub district, Magetan Regency. Sampling was carried out in accordance with SNI 19-3694-1994 at each hamlet in Kepolorejo Urban Village. Based on the results of sampling conducted on 33 families or 98 people spread across 12 hamlet in Kepolorejo Urban Village, the total waste generation generated in Kepolorejo Urban Village is 253.4 kg. the total plastic waste generation in Kepolorejo Urban Village is 18.8 kg consisting of plastic waste that can be used as ecobrick raw material, which is 11.9 kg/day and plastic waste that cannot be used as ecobrick raw material, which 6.9 kg. the value of the potential for ecobrick in reducing the generation waste in Kepolorejo is 4.6%. the number of ecobrick that can be produced in 1 year is 99.631.
Aulia ., Hery Koesmantoro, Susi Nurweni, Karno . River pollution occurs because of domestic and non-domestic waste. River pollution that occurs in the ngingas river causes a pungent and colorful odor that affects the biota and quality of river water. The purpose of this study was to measure and map river water quality in terms of TSS and BOD parameters. The research is descriptive in nature with the independent variable being effluent along the river and the dependent variable being the levels of TSS and BOD in the ngingas river. The sampling technique used the grab sampling method and composite sampling was carried out by taking 4 points as far as 2 km from the Ngingas River flow. Data analysis was done by descriptive method of BOD and TSS levels as a result of the effluent at the 4 specified points. The results of the measurement of 4 sampling points at the Ngingas River showed BOD and TSS results of 151.5 mg/L and 103 mg/L in the first 1 km caused by domestic waste originating from settlements with the criteria of the waste being slightly foamy, and smelling good. While in the second 1 km the results of TSS and BOD are 814.2 mg/L and 73.8 mg/L, the measurement results can be caused by many factors, namely household activities or industrial activities, with the criteria that the waste is sometimes foamy. , slightly black, cloudy and smelly. Suggestions for other researchers are efforts to reduce TSS and BOD levels that meet the requirements and it is hoped that every industrial owner has a sewage treatment plant.
Fauzi Udianto, Ferry Kriswandana, Rachmaniyah .
